IntroductionDirk and Marijke welcome you to Lucertola, an old, natural stone farmhouse, sympathetically restored and situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Italy , the province Le Marche.
Lucertola is a holiday location where everybody can enjoy an active or more restful vacation, regardless of the season, in unique surroundings.
The villa is situated in a quiet position, on a mountain side, 3 km from the medieval town of San Lorenzo in Campo. Here you will find supermarkets, bakeries, butchers; in fact all the shops you need for your daily groceries. In San Lorenzo you will find an Internetpoint with broadband connection and flexspot for you and your laptop.
The villa's central location makes it a perfect base to explore the Marches in all directions and it is only 20 km to the Adriatic coast, with its lovely seaside towns and beaches.
Lucertola offers a beautiful view of the typical Marche landscape and has a large garden ( 6000 square metres ) where all our guests can find a private spot to sunbathe, read or just relax. Deck chairs are provided.
Mostly, a cooling breeze from the Apennines makes for pleasant sunbathing conditions and centuries-old oak trees provide shade, as do the many olive trees, situated on the terraces.
You can find good local restaurants not far off.

Season: early April – end October.
Every season offers its advantages: Spring (April, May, June) offers a pleasant, comfortable temperature suited for all kinds of activities: walking, hiking, culture-seeking, roaming markets for local delicatesses, tasting porchetta, enjoying the Italian social "prima-cena (before-dinner) parade or passagiata" from a terrace; daydreaming in the evening at a fairy-like scene of fireflies in nature awakening from winter.
The summer (July, Augustus) is warm with long evenings - eating outside, drinking; relaxing after going the beach.
From September the temperature is again suited for lots of activities, to explore the coast with its quiet beaches, tasting wines at enoteca's, buying a fresh truffle and rasping over a self-prepared pasta. Discovering the Marches in a relaxed way; you almost have the - unspoiled and authentic - province for yourself...
